Using Leadfeeder and Consent to Comply with GDPR

Learn how to make Leadfeeder Tracker GDPR-compliant using your Consent Management Platform. This video walks you through configuring cookie consent in Google Tag Manager, ensuring cookies are only set after approval—while still identifying companies even without consent.

Video Transcript

To comply with GDPR, Leadfeeder Tracker works with most Consent Management Platforms. It can set cookies only after visitor consent.
Even without consent, the tracker still identifies companies – just not individual visitors.
To get the best results, don’t block the entire tracker until consent is granted.
Instead, configure your Consent Management Platform to trigger cookies only when consent is given.

Step 1: Make sure your CMP and the Leadfeeder Tracker are in the same GTM container.
Step 2: Set up a new custom HTML tag with this code to accept the cookie.
Step 3: Add a trigger from your CMP, like “Allowed Analytics” in CookieHub.
Step 4: Save, submit, and publish your changes.
Step 5: Enable Consent Management Mode in your Leadfeeder tracker settings.

After this, cookies are only set after consent. But even without cookies, company tracking still works!
